Budai in folklore is admired for his happiness and wisdom of contentment. One belief popular in folklore maintains that rubbing his belly brings wealth, good luck, and prosperity.
Tiger's eye is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock that is a golden to red-brown color, with a silky luster. A member of the quartz group, it is an example of pseudomorphous replacement by silica of fibrous crocidolite (blue asbestos).
