This is one of the most interesting Spirit Quartz specimens we've seen, with some very long crystal points.
It isn't as vibrantly coloured as some other Spirit Quartz's, but it is one of the biggest and coolest looking specimens out there.
Spirit Quartz is an unusual member of the Quartz family. Its core, a larger, candle-shaped crystal with a faceted terminated point, is encrusted with hundreds of smaller crystal termination points. Also referred to as Cactus Quartz or Porcupine Quartz, it is found only in the Magaliesberg Mountain region of South Africa, first appearing around 2001. Most Spirit Quartz is Amethyst, though Citrine, Smokey, and White Quartz are also mined.

Spirit Quartz is a stone for bringing Spirit into play with all aspects of one’s inner and outer life. It aligns the everyday “local self” with the Higher Self, and assists the Higher Self in manifesting through one’s human form. Amethyst-colored Spirit Quartz links one’s conscious mind to the Higher Self, allowing one to comprehend and express the knowledge one receives.
The Citrine variety works through the third chakra, causing one to act directly from the will of the Higher Self. In meditation, Spirit Quartz can bring peace of mind and freedom from fear. The Amethyst form can dispel negative attachments and entities, repair “holes ” in the etheric body, balance the astral body and bring the chakras and meridians up to their optimal level of functioning.
It stimulates the crown chakra, so one can receive spiritual information and communication from guides. The Citrine form clears and stimulates the third chakra. It frees the will from the inhibitions of one’s upbringing so one can focus on attaining one’s chosen goals and those of the Higher Self.
