This is a small natural piece of Rhodochrosite, which has been shaped and polished into a lovely palm sized Egg.
RHODOCHROSITE is a manganese carbonate with a hexagonal crystal system and a hardness of 3.5 to 4. The most important deposit is in Argentina, where Rhodochrosite formed in the Incan silver mines.
Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral. In its (rare) pure form, it is typically a rose-red color, but impure specimens can be shades of pink to pale brown. The Incas believed that rhodochrosite is the blood of their former rulers, turned to stone, therefore it is sometimes called "Rosa del Inca" or "Inca Rose".

Rhodochrosite is a stone of love, directed first toward the self for emotional healing. It assists in doing the necessary work of recovering, reliving and releasing the memories of one’s emotional woundings.
Rhodochrosite works vibrationally to support self healing in these important areas. Through its energy of self-love and compassion for one’s inner child, Rhodochrosite can be a valuable ally. It emanates currents of inner peace and self forgiveness, allowing one to fully blossom.
Rhodochrosite can cleanse, soothe and heal the energy field around the heart. It can repair “holes” or damaged areas in the auric field, especially the emotional body. It can deepen meditations and past-life regressions. It is also a stone of joy.
Taking a Rhodochrosite outdoors on a lovely day and allowing the beauty of Nature to enter one’s senses, one can reenter the sense of grace and magical happiness that are natural in the child who feels safe and loved.
