This is a beautifully carved Moss Agate Cat, with very deep green "Moss" visible all over the entire Cat, it is a very high grade piece of Moss Agate.

MOSS AGATE is not technically a true Agate, because it is not banded. It is a chalcedony with dendritic inclusions of moss-colored green minerals. Spots of red also occur in some specimens. It is a Quartz with a hardness of 7. Many of the best Moss Agates come from India.
