Green Kyanite has always been relatively rare until in 2010 an earthquake in Pakistan uncovered a deposit of Green-Blue Kyanite that is flake-like and compressed with shimmering Mica. This discovery has just begun to be mined and pieces such as these will not be available for long.
Kyanites name derives from the Greek word "kuanos" meaning deep blue. Kyanite is a typically blue silicate mineral commonly found alongside Quartz and often displays a shimmering luster.
Please note that each piece is unique and may differ slightly in color and composition than the example provided.
